Oh Deer...

(Or not.)

Jeremiah took Ethan out for the first time this weekend.

He has been aching to go for months, and Saturday, despite Mama's worries that he'd be cold, Jeremiah carted off my first born for a few hours of male bonding.
I tried to get him to take a blanket for the poor little baby, but he just rolled his eyes.
"He'll be fine MOM."
Then he came back to get him another jacket.
Haha. I win.
I can't believe Ethan is old enough to go hunting.
Of course, I did send him brownies and chocolate milk.
And my gloves.
And he had to hold Jeremiah's hand as they walked to the car, because it was dark.
But still...

I think Ethan really liked it. He liked sitting on the bucket in the blind.
And seeing all the squirrels.
He liked it so much he set up his own hunting spot later that day...

I think he saw more deer in our front yard than Jeremiah's seen all season.

Don't tell him I said that.

"Mom, come out here. You need to be huntin' teach-ed!"

Charlotte said something to him.
She's been on his case all week.

And after waking up at 6am, he was in NO mood to be messed with, believe you me.

  1. These pictures are GREAT!!
    Thanks for the laugh.

  2. Jessie, I'm thinking you need to be educated like those coyotes on that video. I think they were huntin' teach-ed. That face that he gave his sister is sooooo funny! What a little man!
